Guiding Principles for School Resource Officer Programs

Among the tens of thousands of officers hired under grants from the Office of Community Oriented Policing Services (COPS Office) since its establishment in 1994, local law enforcement agencies across the United States have hired school resource officers (SROs) to improve and preserve safety in schools.
